The story was well-thought and pretty different from your usual teen dramas. It was very enjoyable, which can be hard especially when you know that the issue of bullying was paramount in the drama.

It follows the storyline of Sekang High School,  the most prestigious private high school in Seoul’s Gangnam District, and Go Eun Byul is the most popular girl there. Meanwhile, her identical twin Lee Eun Bi is living in an orphanage and is being bullied at school. Then one day, Eun Byul mysteriously disappears. Soon after, Eun Bi loses her memories and is mistaken as being Eun Byul. Eun Bi then starts living her life as Eun Byul.

Dream High (2011)

DREAM HI

Dream High tells the story of six students at Kirin Art High School who work to achieve their dreams of becoming music stars in the Korean music industry.

The very best thing about this drama is the story is constantly moving forward. The writer of this gets my applause for keeping it fresh and never boring. The story twists and turns in very believable ways moving the Students of Dream High along on their journey and making them grow up. It’s fun to watch. The music is great and works into the plot perfectly.

Sungkyunkwan Scandal Korean Drama sets in the Joseon period where a girl who is good in studies but she was not allowed to study because she is a girl.  So the girl disguised as a man and joined the Sungkyunkwan School and studied along with men.

It had me hooked from the very beginning, leaving little space for dull moments. Every time a plot twist was resolved, it only meant the beginning of another that would just keep as hooked as the one that just ended.

The relationships in this show are the heart and soul of the whole masterpiece. It’s actually hard to find anything negative to say about this drama.

It follows the storyline of Lee Min Seok, a naive, immature, and clueless high school hockey player who somehow ends up working at a company in place of his brother. He lives a double life as a student and a high positioned office worker and falls in love with a woman who is a temporary employee at that same company.

Though a bit long, this drama was well written and the actors did a great job. The setting was beautiful, you can see the Korean culture in a splendid way.

It follows the storyline of Chae Gyeong an ordinary high school student. One day, she receives some unexpected news. Because of her grandfathers will, she must marry the unendurable Crown Prince Lee Shin who also attends her high school.

As she struggles to adapt herself to the proper manners and royal duties of palace life and to her disagreeable husband, Lee Shin’s sentimental cousin and second-in-line to the throne.

One day, she sees a track and field competition on TV, and becomes attracted to one of the high jump competitors, Kang Tae-joon (Choi Min-ho). She eventually transfers to Korea to attend the same school that Tae-joon attends after he suffers an accident that could potentially end his career. There is a catch, however: Tae-joon attends an all-boys high school, Genie High School, so Jae-hee cuts her hair short and disguised herself as a boy to enter the school.

These young men are lost in this era, where discussing dreams has become a luxury. They experience things that were least expected and face magical moments hidden in their daily lives.

Go Back Couple (2017)

go back couple.jpg

Though this drama is centred around university students it’s still a good watch if you are just simply looking for a drama involving a school setting.

What I loved about this Kdrama is how well all the characters are intertwined and how the topic of family, marriage, friendship is put perfectly into every episode. There are a lot of brawling your eyes out episodes but plenty of laughter in between.

Choi Ban Do and Ma Jin Joo are both 38-years-old and a married couple. Choi Ban Do has been burdened with being the breadwinner and Ma Jin Joo is a housewife with low self-esteem. Even though they loved each other when they married, they now hate each other. They both regret marrying at such a young age. The couple travels through time and finds themselves as 20-year-old university students when they met for the first time.
