Rich guy poor/girl Korean Dramas
We gotta admit that even though the storylines for rich guy poor girl Korean dramas are somewhat predictable, they’re still very entertaining and fun to watch. Below is a list of rich guy poor girl Korean dramas that I have watched and have really enjoyed.
Please note, they’re not in any specific order.
WHAT’S WRONG WITH SECRETARY KIM
What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim was one of the highest rated Korean dramas of 2018 and I can definitely see why. At first glance, this series may seem like a K-drama cliche but it was quite entertaining. A rich boss falls in love with his secretary and spends most of the series trying to win her over. The cast and charm of the characters brought this drama to the next level; they made it watch-worthy.
Stars Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young definitely brought the characters to life.
Secret Garden” tells the story of a rich CEO named Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin), who is a bit of a jerk. He is arrogant and quite wealthy. He meets Gil Ra Im (Ha Ji Won), a poor stuntwoman who couldn’t be bothered with the type of man Joo Won is, but he ends up falling in love with her.
“Secret Garden” is considered to be a classic of Kdramas. It’s a fairy-tale come true as it involves a rich heir trying to sweep a poor girl off her feet. Despite the reality of the situation, he doesn’t give up on her. So romantic!
This series wasn’t exactly known for its rich/poor K-drama theme, but it does involve a poor girl who falls in love with a rich goblin.
Gong Yoo as Shin, meets Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) a sassy and adorable high school student who turns out to be the bride he has been looking for.
The two meet and it seems as though Eun Tak is intrigued by the fact that Shin lives in a mansion and has endless amounts of money. The two embark on an emotional and adventurous relationship where they must figure out where their destiny together lies.
BOYS OVER FLOWERS
Jan Di, the Heroine, is the poor but bright girl who has a strong sense of justice and full of vitality. She transfers to an exclusive high school where only the rich go. In there, she encounters with the four rich and quirky boys and experiences love and friendship.
Despite being from different backgrounds, the two end up falling in love with each other and it’s pretty enjoyable to watch
Go Eun Sung’s life is similar to Cinderella’s. After her father died, her step-mother took away all of her assets and her younger brother, Eun Woo, suddenly disappears without a trace.
Despite this, Eun Sung perseveres and works really hard to fulfil her dreams.
When the CEO of a food company, Jang Sook Ja, suffers amnesia and can’t remember who she is, Eun Sung takes her in. However, Eun Sung does not know that she is the grandmother of Sun Woo Hwan, the man who she switched bags with at the airport. How will their constant bickering lead them to realize that they care more about each other than they let on?
