The 29-year-old South Korean guitarist and musician is known for being a member in the South Korean rock band F.T. Island.
Since the Jung Joon Young scandal was made public, many K pop celebrities have been pushed to the forefront regarding their involvement.
On March 13, it was reported by YTN that FT ISLAND’s Chi Jong Hoon had played a big part in the ongoing controversy. Through the messages found via the chat, it was revealed that in 2016 Jong Hoon, used his connections to keep silent about a drunk driving incident.
His agency, FNC Entertainment, has however denied the allegations stating that Jong Hoon had not paid the police to keep quiet.
The messages found between Choi Jong Hoon, Jung Joon young and more revealed otherwise; in the messages, it was disclosed that payment was made to keep the matter hushed.
Along with drunk driving and police bribery, other allegations have also been publicized such as illegal filming and sharing of illicit videos.
Fans have not only scrutinized Chi Jong Hoon for his actions but have been disappointed as the musician hasn’t come public to make any apologies.
Today (March 13), a shocking statement was posted on the DC FT ISLAND Gallery demanding Choi Jong Hoon’s withdrawal from the band.
In the statement, it was said that as leader Jong Hoon disgraced the FI ISLAND’s image and it was later demanded that he be removed from the group.
Of course, there were some fans who believe that the demand was a bit too much and that everyone should wait and see how the controversy unfolds.
