Kithewhale Entertainment revealed that it would be disbanding the boy group ENOi.
The agency posted the following message to the group’s official fan cafe on January 22:
Hello. This is Kithewhale Entertainment. We sincerely thank the fans who cherish and love the group ENOi. We are sharing our official statement regarding the group’s disbandment and the termination of members’ exclusive contracts.
After a long and in-depth discussion with the members and deliberation, both sides came to an agreement for the three members Avin, Jinwoo, and J-kid (excluding Laon, Dojin, Hamin, and Gun) to terminate their exclusive contracts with us as of January 31, 2021 (when the contracts expire).
We first want to apologize for bringing unfortunate news to the fans who always support ENOi.
As it is a careful choice to be made, much time was taken to think it over. After thorough discussion, we have decided to respect the decisions made by the ENOi members and have decided on the disbandment of ENOi and the contract termination.
Members Laon, Dojin, Hamin, and Gun have expressed their wishes to stay with the company. We will actively support them for their stable individual promotions. We will provide full support so they can carry out more active and diverse activities.
We also express deep gratitude to Avin, Jinwoo, and J-kid as they leave their current agency. Although their official contracts will come to an end, we will sincerely support their future endeavors.
Since it was an important issue calling for a carefully made decision, it led to a delay in delivering the news and we sincerely apologize for this and for causing concern for fans. Lastly, please continue to support the four ENOi members, Avin, Jinwoo, and J-Kid as they all embark on new beginnings.
ENOi made their debut with “bloom” in April 2019 and their most recent comeback was in August 2020 with the special album “W.A.Y”.
In their future endeavors, we wish the members all the best.
