The upcoming fantasy drama The King: The Eternal Monarch will begin it’s production process with a script reading today.
The brilliant screenwriter Kim Eun Sook
has also done hit dramas such as “Descendants of the Sun,” “Heirs,” “Goblin” and “Mr. Sunshine.”
“The King: The Eternal Monarch” is about two parallel universes of a monarchy and a democracy. Lee Min Ho will play Emperor Lee Gon, who tries to close the door between the two worlds, while Kim Go Eun will take on the role of detective Jung Tae Eul, who works with the emperor to protect people’s lives.
On September 17, TV Report shared that the cast and staff of the drama will have their script reading today at 2 p.m. at a location in the neighborhood of Sangam in Seoul.
“The King: The Eternal Monarch” will begin shooting within the second half of this year and air in the first half of 2020.
