Park Han Byul to Stay in KDrama “Love in Sadness” despite Her Husband’s Scandal

Since the release of illicit chat room messages, fans have demanded that Park Han Byul, wife of the former CEO Yoo In Suk be removed from her ongoing Korean drama Love In Sadness.

In regards to the demands made by the public, her label responded:

“Park Han Byul is currently filming the latter half of ‘Love in Sadness’. She plans to complete filming for the rest of the drama. Nothing has been discussed with producers regarding her withdrawal from the drama. As of now, she plans to complete the drama.”

Earlier today, her agency updated the public by stating,

“We have not had any discussions regarding her departure with the producers. We’ve also confirmed with MBC once again. It’s an issue involving her husband, not Park Han Byul herself. We’re cautious because it’s her personal matters but please watch her till the end.”

Park Han Byul got married to Yoo In Suk in November 2017, and she later gave birth to their first child in April 2018. Since the whole controversy started there are those fans that have stuck by the actress’s side and have held their perspective that she is at no fault so she should not pay for her husband’s mistakes.

Love in Sadness has currently aired 12 out of 40 scheduled episodes and tells the story of Yoon Ma-ri (Park Han-byul). Yoon Ma-Ri is an artist and the daughter-in-law of a chaebol family. She is however in an unhappy marriage with Kang In-wook (Ryu Soo-young) who is also an abusive husband.

She tries to escape her marriage and meets Seo Jung-won (Ji Hyun-woo), a plastic surgeon. They then later fell in love with each other.

Stay tuned for updates.
