The South Korean pop members arrived at the police station today(March 14) to face police questioning over a series of interconnecting sex scandals accusations that been circulating in the South Korean society.
The police department has accused Jung Joon Young secretly filming himself having sexual intercourse with over 10 women and sharing it with friends in a group chat. Since the matter have been made public many have distanced themselves from the scandal saying they were not involved.
Prior to entering the police station Joon Young told reporters that he is very sorry for causing concerns to the people and will faithfully undergo an investigation.
Joon Young previously released a statement this week admitting to having videotaped himself and several women having sex without their consent. Since then he has apologized to the victims and have notified the public that he would retire from the entertainment industry.
Seungri arrived in the afternoon for his second questioning after first being questioned on charges for breaching the law on the punishment of prostitution mediation. He was supposedly among eight men on a Kakao Talk group chatroom where Jung posted his sex videos.
He addressed the public today saying “I once again bow my head in apology to all citizens of the nation and the people who have received harm because of me. Rather than saying more, I will participate in the investigation diligently with truthful responses.”
Though prostitution is prohibited in South Korea, illicit sex businesses continue to thrive behind many closed doors in the country. It is the hope of many that this scandal will not only punish those involved but will uproot all illegal sex businesses that have existed for decades.
Seungri And Jung Joon Young will continue to get much attention as this case continues.
